Samara Weaving becomes the 4th actress to play Emma Frost in live action. 🥶
Samara Weaving has officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Emma Frost, making her the fourth actress to portray the iconic mutant in live-action history.
Her casting for Marvel Studios' highly anticipated X-Men reboot (set to release on May 5, 2028) was heavily reported following auditions and confirmed on stage at the D23 Expo.
Weaving joins a unique group of actresses who have brought the "White Queen" to life across different eras of television and film:
Finola Hughes (1996): First portrayed the character in Fox's live-action television pilot movie, Generation X.
Tahyna Tozzi (2009): Played a younger, diamond-shifting version of Emma in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
January Jones (2011): Brought a more comic-accurate, 1960s-era Hellfire Club iteration to the big screen in X-Men: First Class.
Samara Weaving (2028): Will lead the MCU's version under the direction of Jake Schreier. Fun fact: she is the real-life niece of Hugo Weaving, who played the MCU's original Red Skull!
