Ryan Gosling is NEW GHOST RIDER of the MCU!

Ryan Gosling has officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to star as Johnny Blaze in a standalone Ghost Rider film slated for 2028.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige broke the news during the blockbuster Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, bringing Gosling on stage to confirm the long-rumored casting. The supernatural film is being written by Jonathan Tropper and will be directed by Shawn Levy, who recently helmed Deadpool & Wolverine.

Levy revealed that the project materialized after they finished their work together on Starfighter and began riffing on Gosling's personal vision for Johnny Blaze.

I just saw an interview with Kevin Feige the other day and apparently Gosling really just wanted to play Ghost Rider. Like he approached them about it. Maybe he saw the Cage movies and thought the character was badass and the romantic interest was hot and decided he wanted to do both some day. Lol. Haha.
