Avengers: Doomsday (2026) Official Trailer Review
The first trailer for “Avengers: Doomsday” is finally released.
After being shown to CinemaCon attendees in April, the full “Doomsday” trailer is now public and brings together nearly every hero in the MCU. It also drops a key hint that we'll see the destruction of at least one of the three main universes
So, the trailer has some major returning Avengers like Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), and Chris Evans (Captain America), alongside Pedro Pascal from the Fantastic Four, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, and Florence Pugh from the Thunderbolts.
We also get a quick look at Ian McKellen coming back as Magneto! He actually talked about the movie recently at a festival in Rome, telling the crowd that the Russo brothers (the directors) wanted him to look super angry while destroying things. He joked that they told him to look like he genuinely hated what he was destroying, so he just stood there and yelled, "Mar-a-Lago!"
The new MCU trailer is wild:
The trailer teases some kind of "unthinkable decision" and the official arrival of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. Since he used to play Iron Man, seeing him return as the big villain is a huge deal—reportedly pulling in around $100 million for both *Doomsday* and its follow-up, *Secret Wars*.
Co-director Joe Russo mentioned that they are basically going "back to phase zero" for the MCU with this one. He said they are starting completely from scratch and want everyone to feel like it's not just leaning on past movies.
Honestly, one of the coolest parts is all the classic X-Men actors jumping into the MCU for *Doomsday*. We're talking about Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Rebecca Romijn.
