MANTL gets US $40M to update banking tools
Banking technology company MANTL raised $40 million in a Series B funding round led by CapitalG. The company will use the funds to continue developing a digital tool for banks and credit unions, with an eye to making it easier to open accounts online at smaller institutions.
Chargebee, a billing and revenue management platform for building subscription businesses, raised $125 million in a Series G round. Sapphire Ventures, Tiger Global and Insight Partners led the financing, which sets a valuation of $1.4 billion for the San Francisco-based company.
Singapore-based SES, a developer of batteries for electric vehicles, raised $139 million in a Series D round led by GM. In other news, Zilch, a UK-based buy now, pay later app, raised $80 million in a Series B round. Startups in the background of America’s cannabis industry are developing the infrastructure and support system for the space. Venture investment in the space, meanwhile, is picking up this year after a lull in 2020.
