DataRails closes US $18.5M after pivot
DataRails, provider of a financial planning tool, closed an $18.5 million Series A round led by Zeev Ventures. The Israeli startup previously focused on building a data integrity and compliance platform but pivoted into financial planning, seeing a shortage of effective tools geared for small and medium-sized businesses.
Payments automation startup Plooto raised $6.3 million in a Series A funding led by FINTOP Capital. The Toronto-based company offers cash flow management tools to automate accounts payable and receivable functions.
San Francisco-based AppOmni, a SaaS security provider, pulled in $40 million in a Series B round led by Scale Venture Partners. The startup offers tools for companies to secure the applications their employees use, including popular communication platforms like Zoom and Slack.
Octopus Deploy, developer of a deployment automation tool, raised $172.5 million in a funding round led by Insight Partners. In other news, Classy, operator of an online platform for nonprofit fundraising, raised $118 million from backers including Norwest Venture Partners.
