Anya Taylor-Joy on starring in ‘The Lord of The Rings: The Hunt for Gollum’:

Anya Taylor-Joy portrays Seren, an original Sindar Elf and deadly operative for King Thranduil in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.

Reacting to her casting, she stated, “If my tombstone can read ‘lethal elf,’ then I did a good job on this planet.”

This custom warrior was created exclusively for the cinematic prequel and does not exist in J.R.R. Tolkien’s written lore.The narrative tracks Aragorn (Jamie Dornan) and Gandalf (Ian McKellen) hunting Gollum (Andy Serkis) before Sauron captures him.

Andy Serkis directs the New Zealand-based production, with Peter Jackson producing.

Warner Bros. schedules the global theatrical release for December 17, 2027.
