How can one be certain of success?
Lifestyle: There is no guaranteed way to be certain of success, as success is often the result of a combination of factors such as hard work, determination, skill, opportunity, and luck.
The dog runs after the bone; the lion does not run after the bone; the lion itself hunts. Sure, success comes to those who focus on the big picture instead of the small picture.
Let us tell you the story of a lion and a dog today, by understanding which you can achieve success. If you throw a bone in front of a dog, the dog will come with a rump and start chewing the bone. But no matter how many bones you throw in front of a lion, the lion will never eat the bones because the lion needs something bigger. The reason a lion eats a bone is that it will bite you and eat it.
The dog always sees the small picture and the lion always does the big thing by looking at the big scene, so the lion is the lion and the dog is the dog. If you want to be successful, then you have to aim high like a lion. Only then will you be able to achieve success in life.
There is a verse in the Valmiki Ramayana, written more than 2500 years ago, which in itself is a sure formula for success. The wonder is that all the institutions of today, whether domestic, foreign, or multi-national-companies, or any successful sportsperson, almost all follow this formula.
If you do not believe, then after reading this verse, decide for yourself and appreciate the vision of our sages.
It is a humble request to read this very serious verse calmly.
Yasya tvetani chatvari vanarendra yath tava.Dhriti drishti ramtirdakshyam sa karmasu na sidati.
Sage Valmiki says that, O Hanuman ji, whoever has these four like you, Dhriti, Drishti, Mati, and Dakshyam, will never leave him till his work is successful. Of course, he will be successful.
Now let us see the validity of this verse even on today's date.
- Dhriti means a strong foundation. Your objective cannot be different from where you are now.Just like sitting here today, I cannot aim to become the best cricketer in the world. What we are doing today for our goal is called "Mission."
- Drishti is mentioned here not for the eyes but for the eyes of the mind, which can aim appropriately. Vision is the vision that sets the goal and directs the direction.
- We use our mind or intellect to make decisions. Wisdom should always be illuminated with a vision. We call it strategy; what decision has to be taken in which situation?
- Daksham means skill. Success also depends on how skilled you are in the field in which you want to succeed. The quality that we bring to our work by mastery is called "values."
You must agree here that these vision, mission, strategy, and values are the four cornerstones of the success of any seventy-five company or team today. These are the only four infallible weapons of success at our level and also at your level.
There are a few things you can do to increase your chances of success:
- Set clear goals. Define what success means to you and set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals that align with your vision.
- Develop a plan. Create a roadmap or strategy that outlines the steps you need to take to achieve your goals.
- Take action: Act on your plan and take consistent and focused action towards your goals.
- Learn from failures: Failure is a natural part of the learning process, so embrace it and use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve.
- Stay persistent. Success often requires persistence and resilience in the face of setbacks and challenges. Don't give up easily, and keep pushing forward.
Remember, success is a journey, not a destination, and it requires a long-term commitment and dedication to your goals.
