Draupadi Murmu is set to become the Indian President
In India, presidential elections will be held soon. Draupadi Murmu is on her way to a big victory, thanks to a split in the opposition. Murmu’s candidacy has sparked a schism within the UPA. Several other opposition parties have declared their support for Draupadi Murmu. Through the presidential election, the opposition attempted to unite.
Despite Draupadi Murmu’s election victory, the BJP does not want a single vote to be wasted. On Sunday, BJP lawmakers will be trained to vote properly. This, however, is ridiculous. People in the above positions, who are elected by the general public, are taught how to vote.
The training of the team of BJP MLAs from various states has been ongoing for the last few days. Following their training, these MLAs are mentoring new BJP MLAs in their states. Notably, 17 BJP MPs and MLAs’ votes in the most recent presidential election were invalidated due to technological issues. The BJP wants to make sure that not a single vote is thrown out this time. The head of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), Om Prakash Rajbhar, also said that he and the party’s legislators will support Draupadi Murmu for president of the NDA.
The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is home to 6 members of the SBSP. The Samajwadi Party has suffered greatly as a result of the introduction of SBSP (SP). According to speculation, the Samajwadi Party is gradually losing its coalition partners.
Rajbhar claimed that after speaking with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he had made this decision. In addition to the UPA’s division over whether to support or oppose Murmu, several other parties, including SP and Congress, have also experienced divisions.
Murmu has so far received support from non-NDA parties such the BJD, Akali Dal, YSR Congress, TDP, BSP, JMM, JDS, SubhaSP, and Shiv Sena. The TMC, which has suggested Yashwant Sinha’s name as the name of the opposition candidate, is also perplexed. Yashwant’s name had already been decided upon by JMM, Shiv Sena, JD (S), and TDP at an opposition party gathering.
These groups were compelled to travel with Murmu following the NDA’s tribal card. For the presidential election, the Aam Aadmi Party will convene. Thanks to the backing of seven opposition parties and a rift within the Shiv Sena, Draupadi Murmu is poised to win a significant victory.
As a result of these parties joining forces, they now have close to 6.5 lakh supporters. 5,26,420 votes were cast for the NDA, which was 13,000 fewer than the required number.
With the creation of the Biju Janata Dal (about 25,000 votes), the YSR Congress (approximately 43,000 votes), and a significant split in the Shiv Sena, the BJP’s issue was resolved.
The BJP is getting ready to celebrate Daupadi Murmu’s victory in 130,000 tribal communities and 15,000 mandals across the nation. Celebrations will begin all throughout the nation as soon as Draupadi Murmu’s victory is confirmed. The BJP hopes that Draupadi’s triumph will convey a unique message to all of India, particularly women and the tribal people.
The political narrative that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP are the only parties that fight for the underprivileged areas of the country rather than for power is intolerable in this society shut off from the mainstream.
Due to this, party members have been strictly instructed not to combine Draupadi Murmu’s image with those of any other leaders on victory posters. Since the presidential election, it is thought that the party has begun making plans for the general elections that will take place in 2024.
