Rebecca Romijn's Mystique and Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova finally come face to face in Avengers: Doomsday.

The first official trailer gives us our first look at the iconic X-Men mutant confronting one of the MCU's newest fan-favorite heroes, teasing an unexpected showdown as Marvel's worlds continue to collide ahead of the battle with Doctor Doom.

Mystique vs Yelena Belova

It's a matchup that would have been impossible just a few years ago. Seeing the original X-Men cast sharing the screen with the MCU's current generation is exactly the kind of crossover fans have dreamed about for years.

With Avengers: Doomsday bringing together heroes and mutants from across the Multiverse, this is likely just one of many unforgettable clashes waiting when the film arrives in theaters on December 18.
