South Africa has defeated Pakistan in the two-match Test series. South Africa defeated Pakistan in the second Test after winning the first match by two wickets in Centurion.

Host South Africa won a stunning 10-wicket win on the fourth day of the Cape Town Test. The team led by Temba Bavuma got a target of just 58 runs, which it chased in 7.1 overs without losing a single wicket.

David Bedingham remained unbeaten on 47 off 30 balls. He hit five fours and three sixes. Aiden Markram scored an unbeaten 14. South Africa scored a huge score of 615 in the first innings thanks to the brilliant batting of Ryan Rickelton (259), captain Bavuma (106), and Kyle Verrin (100). In response, the Pakistan team was bowled out for 194, with Babar Azam contributing 58 and Mohammad Rizwan 46.

South Africa got a strong lead of 421 on the basis of the first innings, and Pakistan was forced to play follow-on. However, Pakistan performed slightly better in the second innings. Captain Shan Masood scored the highest 145 runs. He hit 17 fours in an innings of 251 balls.

Shan Masood shared a 205-run partnership for the first wicket with Babar Azam (81). Babar faced 124 balls and hit 10 fours. Pakistan started playing on Sunday at 213 runs for one wicket. Marco Jansen gave Pakistan the second blow by dismissing Khurram Shahzad (18). After this, the Pakistan batting kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Kamran Ghulam (28), Saud Shakeel (23), captain Shan Masood (145), Agha Salman (48), and Mohammad Rizwan (41), Amer Jamal (34), and Mir Hamza (16) were dismissed.

The entire Pakistan team collapsed for a score of 478 in 122.1 overs. Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and spinner Keshav Maharaj took three wickets each. Janson took two wickets. Rabada also took three wickets in the first innings.

The South African team has entered the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25. It achieved this feat by defeating Pakistan in the first Test. The Bavuma Brigade will face Australia in the final in June. Australia defeated India to make it to the title match for the second consecutive time.
