Shipping Platform Sendcloud raises USD $177M

Sendcloud, a Dutch startup that connects retailers to shipping service providers, reportedly raised $177 million in a Series C funding round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2.



Inspired Capital, founded by Learnvest CEO and founder Alexa von Tobel and former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, has raised its second fund, oversubscribed at $281 million.

TCV (Technology Crossover Ventures) has been investing in private and public technology companies for the past 26 years. The firm was one of the first investors in Netflix and Zillow, but perhaps more notable than the success of its early bets is its penchant for playing the long game with its portfolio companies, some of which it continues to invest in after they’ve gone public.
