HoneyBook gets US $155M for entrepreneur tools

Business : HoneyBook, a client communication and financial management platform for service-based small businesses and freelancers, pulled in $155 million in a Series D funding round. Durable Capital Partners led the financing, which set a valuation of more than $1 billion for the San Francisco-based company.

Mexico City-based cryptocurrency platform Bitso raised a $250 million Series C financing that boosts its valuation to $2.2 billion. Tiger Global and Coatue led the round, which makes Bitso the first crypto unicorn in Latin America, per its founder.

Life sciences technology company Cellares raised $82 million in a Series B funding round led by Eclipse Ventures and Decheng Capital. The South San Francisco-based company plans to use the funds to continue developing manufacturing tools that enable faster commercial availability for cell therapy treatments.

Pecan AI, a developer of tools to integrate AI into business intelligence data and analytics, closed a $35 million Series B round led by GGV Capital. Retailers, consumer products companies and mobile app developers in particular have been using the startup’s tools in recent quarter to understand changing consumer behavior.

Acronis, a provider of cyber protection across data, applications and systems, raised over $250 million in fresh funding at a $2.5 billion valuation. In other news, sleep health wearable developer ŌURA Health announced a $100 million Series C round.
