Paxos raises US $300M, Rho closes US $100M debt
Business : New York-based Paxos, provider of a regulated blockchain infrastructure platform, closed a $300 million Series D funding round led by Oak HC/FT at a valuation of $2.4 billion.
In other news: Rho Technologies, the financial technology parent of Rho Business Banking, said it raised $100 million in debt financing from Community Investment Management, and Modern Meadow, a New York-based producer of biofabricated textiles, raised $130 million in Series C funding led by Key Partners Capital.

Sherpa, a Toronto-based startup that aims to make international travel more seamless, has raised $8.5 million in funding led by True Ventures and Narrative Fund. The company already counts American Airlines, Expedia, TripActions and Icelandair among its customers and sees growth opportunity in helping consumers and travel-booking companies schedule cross-border trips as more destinations open up to fully vaccinated travelers.
Shares of Privia Health Group, which provides technology and services to physician practices, jumped 51 percent in their first day trading on the Nasdaq, which raised about $778 million for the company.
