Now you can shop directly from YouTube videos, the company started testing with select creators.

Product information will be available on one click

Viewers will be able to see a list of selected products by clicking on the shopping bag icon, which will appear in the lower left corner of the video. From here, they can locate the page of each product, where they will get more information, related videos and options to buy the product. The company shared the details of this new feature being tested on the Google Support page. The company says that with this feature, viewers will get information about the product appearing in the video and options to buy it. YouTube says that it is currently working with select creators on this pilot project.

Creators will be able to add themselves to the video

In October 2020, Bloomberg reported that YouTube asked creators to use YouTube software to tag and track the products featured in the video. According to the report, the data will be linked to Google's shopping tools and analytics. The report said that a YouTube spokesperson had confirmed that Platform Limited was testing the feature with users and video channels and that creators would have control over the products being shown. Soon YouTube will provide this facility to more users.
