WhatsApp's new data privacy policy has been challenged in the Delhi High Court. Advocate Chaitanya Rohilla has filed an application against it. The company gave clarification after the new policy was disputed. WhatsApp had said that the private message of the user is not threatened by this policy. That is, chats with friends or family will be safe all over. Only business accounts will come under the ambit of the new policy.
Prasad said that the data privacy bill is still under consideration. It will soon be tabled in Parliament for approval. Prasad said, "I look at linking data to digital sovereignty, because India's economy also depends on digital sovereignty." In such a situation, it is very important to remain safe. Use the work for which the data is being collected. It is the responsibility of the security of the data which is collecting it. The IT minister said that the economy continued to run despite the epidemic last year. Digital India was a special contributor to this. The strength of Digital India can be gauged from the fact that in the last five and a half years, 13 lakh crore rupees were directly transferred to the account of the common man. With the help of technology, savings of about 1.7 lakh crores.
Prasad said that six years ago there were only 2 mobile manufacturers in India, whereas today their number has increased to 268. We have become the second largest mobile manufacturer in the world after China. Working fast to become number one. We have announced Production Linked Incentive (PLI). It simply means that you manufacture, export, we will give you the incentive.
He said that we had launched this scheme in the Kovid period to test the capacity of Indian companies. The companies associated with the scheme will create 10 lakh crore mobile and equipment in the next five years. Out of this, there will be an export of 7 lakh crores.
