To give big relief to the farmers, the government has introduced Kisan Credit Card (KCC). Through the Kisan Credit Card Scheme, farmers are provided loans for agricultural related things. Taking loans through these cards is much cheaper. Kisan Credit Card has been linked with PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme.
The process of getting a Kisan Credit Card is very easy. This provides easy loan for fertilizer, seeds etc. To strengthen the farmers and reduce the debt burden on them, the government is taking many important steps.
First of all, let us tell you, farmers issue credit card banks. Kisan Credit Card is a Kalyankari Yojana of the Central Government. This Kisan Credit Card was started by NABARD and Reserve Bank of India together.

Apply for Kisan Credit Card:
- Official website https://pmkisan.gov.in/ to download Kisan Credit Card form. Or go to www.argicoop.gov.in.
- On the right side of the Former tab in the website, there is an option to download Kisan Credit Farm. After filling all the information in this form correctly, the necessary documents have to be submitted.
- In this form, you will have to fill many information including documents of your land, details of the crop.
- It must also be verified that you have not got any other card made. With this, you can also apply to any co-operative bank, Regional Rural Bank. After that, you can go to the nearest bank and make a deposit. The government has kept the validity of the card for five years.
The bank applicants verify the farmer before giving loan. It is seen whether he is a farmer or not. Then its revenue record is checked. Aadhaar, PAN and photo are taken for identification. After this an affidavit is taken that no other bank is owed.
The government has also exempted the fees and charges levied on making Kisan Credit Cards. Actually, it costs 2 to 5 thousand rupees to build KCC.
On the government's directive, the Indian Banks Association issued advisory and asked banks to waive fees and charges.
The government has launched several schemes in the last 6 years to double the farmers' income by 2022. One of these schemes is PM Kisan Yojana. The full name of this scheme is 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana'.
Under this, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 6000 to the farmers every year. This money is sent directly to the bank account of the farmer. This money comes in three installments of 2000-2000 rupees in the account of the farmer.
