1350 crores jewels of Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi brought to India from Hong Kong

New Delhi. Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Wednesday brought 108 consignments of PNB scam accused Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi from Hong Kong. These consignments have gems worth Rs 1350 crore and weigh about two and a half tons.

The ED said that diamonds, pearls and silver gems have been brought to Mumbai from a warehouse in Hong Kong. Of these, 32 consignments are associated with Nirav Modi and 76 with Mehul Choksi.

Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Wednesday brought 108 consignments of PNB scam accused Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi from Hong Kong. These consignments have gems worth Rs 1350 crore and weigh about two and a half tons.

Nirav and Mehul wanted to send gems to Dubai in 2018 :

The investigating agency said that Nirav and Mehul wanted to send these consignments from Hong Kong to Dubai in 2018. Based on the information received from the intelligence agencies, the ED started efforts to get these jewels from Hong Kong. The ED wanted that all these assets could be brought to India and seized in the PNB scam.
