A mid-day report claimed that talks were going on between Google and Amitabh Bachchan to give voice to Google Maps, although it has not yet been officially confirmed by Google or Amitabh Bachchan. Currently the voice of Karen Jacobsen is heard in Google Maps.

According to the information given in the company's blog post, these transit alert features of Google Maps will soon be launched in other countries including Argentina, France, India, USA, UK.
