United States : Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales recently launched his social media networking site. It is named WT: Social. It is a news centric site, which will be run with the donation given by the users. In this, users will be able to share links to articles just like Facebook News Feed. Also, discussion can also be done in this.

It has given many categories including technology, politics and education. Users will be able to use it by free sign-up. According to the report, it will challenge sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales recently launched his social media networking site. It is named WT: Social.

Facts :

Most importantly, users will get only the right news in this site. Jimmy Wales says that the business model of social media companies is entirely on advertising and this is a problem, due to which poor quality content is the winner here.
Wells further explained that WT: Social site should not contain clickbait, advertisements and content of poor quality. Therefore, it uses a very different algorithm than Facebook and Twitter. Upvote button will be added for quality stories.
According to the report, 200 people have given donations for the site. At the same time, this site, launched last month, has also received more than 50 thousand users.
