Apple plans to shut down iTunes after 18 yrs

Apple plans to shut down iTunes 18 years after Apple's late Co-founder Steve Jobs introduced it on January 9, 2001, Bloomberg reported.

Apple plans to shut down iTunes after 18 years

Apple will be launching a trio of new apps for the Mac - Music, TV, and Podcasts, to replace iTunes, the report said. The announcement is reportedly expected by Apple at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference next week.

iTunes is a media player, Internet radio broadcaster, and mobile device management application developed by Apple Inc. It was announced on January 9, 2001. It is used to play, download, and organise digital multimedia files, including music and video.
