Acquco gets US $160M to buy retailers

Business : E-commerce platform Acquco raised $160 million in Series A funding to acquire and scale Amazon third-party sellers. Its co-founders launched the New York-based company in 2020 after working at Amazon, and it’s now the latest of several startups in the space to close large rounds this year.

Home insurance startup Kin raised $63.9 million in a Series C round led by led by Senator Investment Group and Hudson Structured Capital Management. The Chicago-based startup’s focus areas include homes that are more complicated or risky to insure due to age, climate change, and other factors.

New York-based Lili, a mobile banking and expense tracking service for U.S. freelancers, secured $55 million in a Series B round led by Group 11. The company says it is currently working with 200,000 customers in all 50 states.

San Francisco-based workforce management software provider Legion closed a $50 million Series C round led by Stripes. The company says its platform, which uses AI to help businesses in labor-intensive industries manage their workforces, grew 391 percent in the past year.

London-based Miroma Ventures will invest $100 million over the next few years into consumer brands and media startups through its first formal fund. Founder and CEO Marc Boyan says the plan is to invest capital as well as provide branding and marketing services.
