Frasier Revival Cancelled at Paramount+?
About: ‘Frasier’ Revival Not Moving Forward, CBS Studios Shopping for New Home After Two Seasons on Paramount+. (r/television)
Update: The Frasier reboot, starring Kelsey Grammer as the iconic psychiatrist, has been canceled by Paramount+ after two seasons. CBS Studios plans to shop it on other platforms.
Niles is a significant portion of why Frasier was good, so the show really was doomed from the start. And Martin. It felt like they tried to do a similar ‘odd couple’ situation with Frasier and his son Freddie, but it’s not been great.
The new characters seemed so “normal” and lacked a personality. Even though Martin was the straight man to ground the highbrowness of Frasier and Niles, he still had his own personality and quirks. He was a fully formed character, and the new ones just seemed so bland.
The episode where Niles accidentally gets Martin high is one of my all-time faves.
"I was walking home and thinking about all the turns we have to make. Right turn. Left turn. Wouldn't it be great if we could just go straight? That's what a giant would do. They should let everybody be a giant for a day!"
