The new Captain America movie, "Brave New World," clocks in at a surprisingly short 1 hour and 58 minutes. This makes it the shortest Captain America film ever. Fans have reacted with a mix of surprise and criticism.

Some fans are excited. They believe a shorter film could be more impactful and avoid feeling bloated. Others are concerned. They worry that a shorter runtime might compromise the story. Well, that is still a hefty run time. Captain America: Brave New World (2025) must do well! I’m not worried about the runtime. I just want the film to do well.

And, isn’t it a little early to know the runtime already? Spider-Man 3 had a runtime of 2h 36m in March 2007, and the movie ended up being 17 minutes shorter (the editor’s cut is 19 minutes). Even NWH/MoM had multiple runtimes.

I definitely hope they put Red Hulk in the spotlight or at least build up the suspense to him emerging. Like Ross slowly losing his grip on the monster in him until it finally explodes.

The runtime of this movie is perfect. And I do hope one of the post-credit scenes shows that Sam has a list of which heroes to reassemble the Avengers. Also that it sets up World War Hulk, which I have a great plot theory for it if anyone is interested. If not, then I hope it'll still be good, whatever it is. Also, I still say it's a great big mistake f making Cho the new "Hulk" in the MCU. We don't need a "new Hulk" in the MCU. Just only Hulk Bruce Banner, Red Hulk, Skarr, She-Hulk, and possibly A-Bomb.
