Lena Headey Shines as the Powerful Cersei Lannister
Game of Thrones: Admit it. Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister is one of history's greatest performances. It's been four and a half years since I watched the GoT, and I still remember the name and substance of the character, Cersei Lannister!!
You know they portrayed it great when you really hate the character. She’s the reason HoD is going down. Her, her father, and little finger were goats as villains. No one is giving us 10% of the excitement and fear they did when they came on the screen!
She was also damn good. Sarah Connor on the TV series, and should have been given more to do as Lady Catherine de Bourgh in Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies. She was badass and rocked the eyepatch.
My favorite queen! Her performance was second to none. I simultaneously enjoyed admiring and despising her. Every time I see her, I think, “I absolutely hate Cersei.” This is how you know she was a great villain. The feelings she made me feel while watching GOT carry. Fantastic actress. I love to hate her.

However, I hated her wig. She should have had the golden hair of a Lannister. Instead, she was given almost coppery hair. Look at Myrcella’s hair (when she was in Dorne). She looked more Lannister than Cersie. Even Joffrey was blonde. Also, Cersie’s green eyes were captivating. Which is why she wore Emerald gowns to accentuate her eyes. We were robbed of the aspects of what makes favorite characters unique.

Someone described her as ‘too stupid to win but smart enough to make sure everyone loses’ and I loved it. Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister was an Emmy-winning performance from start to end, and it’s sad she was never given one. Cersei Lannister has been by far my favorite for a very long time and probably still will be for years to come until the TLOU TV show does its thing (iykyk).
