Mortal Kombat 1 | Van Damme Skin Review
Video Games: Jean-Claude Van Damme (JCVD) is not a playable character in the Mortal Kombat game, but he will be available as a skin for Johnny Cage. The game’s Kombat Pack DLC will include the skin, which is available as part of the Premium Edition.
A Fan’s Dream Come True
This look of JCVD was taken from his Bloodsport movie. But doesn’t look like the real. The facial expression is very lame. However, bringing JCVD into the MK realm is so freaking awesome. Someone who’s a kid from the 90s and a fan of so many JCVD movies Thank you, guys! Just keep doing what you’re doing.
I like how it’s his MK1 outfit with some extra details, like the black belt with red symbols or his sunglasses being a tint of red. really smooth animations of moves. He’s got some real nice jump kicks, and that dance he does before the fatal blow.
Those Kickboxer and Street Fighter references just warmed my damn heart. So glad to see Jean Claude Van Damme as Johnny after all these years.
Mortal Kombat 1 | Van Damme Skin Review
Man, Bloodsport was one of my most-viewed childhood movies. Loved it to bits. This is amazing to me. JCVD will always be my favorite 90s action movie star! It feels unique when you’re a 90s kid and you remember him as Guile in that (not-so-great) Street Fighter movie. It brings back such nostalgia, and I’m all for it!
This is such an obvious pick for MK that I’ve never even thought about it. I’m so glad the developers gave so much thought to these characters and skins. They are really going all out this year for this game. The roster looks amazing. Cannot wait to play this.
The Ultimate 90s Crossover
Jean-Claude Van Damme, one of the biggest action stars of the 1990s, is joining the Mortal Kombat universe. Van Damme was originally approached to play Johnny Cage in the original game, but he turned down the role due to scheduling conflicts. However, he has always been a fan of the series, and he is excited to finally be a part of it.
The skin for Johnny Cage based on Van Damme will feature the actor’s likeness and signature moves. It will also include a new intro and outro for the character.
The skin is based on Van Damme‘s appearance in the 1988 film Bloodsport, which is one of his most iconic roles. The addition of JCVD to Mortal Kombat is a dream come true for many fans. It is sure to be a popular addition to the game.
