Rolls-Royce's e-aircraft has set a new record

The Rolls-Royce aircraft flew at a speed of 532.1kmph for 15 kilometers at the UK Defense Ministry's aircraft testing site at Boscombe Down. The special thing is that, it also made a record of reaching a height of 3000 meters in the shortest time. This electric aircraft used a 400kW electric motor.

This motor produces power up to 500hp. Apart from the test pilot on board the aircraft, the company's Director of Flight Operations Phil O'Dell was also present. For this record, Rolls-Royce partnered with aviation energy storage specialist YASA. The advanced battery and propulsion technology developed for this program can be widely used in the advanced air mobility market, the company said.
