The original GTA trilogy is finally being remastered. Rockstar Games has also confirmed this. Its hype is 'unreal'. Because, many old memories are attached. And the special thing is that the GTA trilogy is being developed on the Unreal Engine. So the leak was real. That was a very detailed leak including them switching to Unreal Engine. Makes sense since RenderWare is probably harder to port the games to RAGE.
Grand Theft Auto III, San Andreas, and Vice City are three of the most beloved games of all time. Consider it as a port - new engine probably means lighting improvements, but they most likely transferred all assets, not remade.

The Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee are at it again. Renown for its ability to leak the existence of new games before the publishers are ready to drop the official word, the governing body has uploaded a new listing for a Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, as registered by publisher Take-Two Interactive.
Coming after months of rumors and speculation, the remastered trilogy is expected to release this fall for a series of consoles include the Nintendo Switch. The remaster is reportedly in the final stages of development and will focus on Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
From Rockstar Games official website, "In honor of the upcoming anniversary, today we are excited to announce that all three games will be coming to current generation platforms later this year in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will feature across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles, while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals. We’re extremely excited to share more about these groundbreaking titles in the coming weeks — stay tuned!
