GTA Trilogy Remastered : It is exactly what we were thinking

This was a breakdown and comparison. I'm excited to play GTA III with all these upgrades, it's a classic. Many younger people like San Andreas, but this will give them a chance to see the 3rd in all it's glory.

Amazing work recreating the scenes from the trailer. I am stoked for this to come out so I can check if the old easter eggs are still there and if they added more. This is the video that made me realize how much they've improved everything. The explosions are night and day. This was such a pleasure to watch. Now that is worthy of being called definitive edition / remaster. Very pleasant choice of music!

Looking back, it amazes me how well the old GTA games have held up and in general still blow away more recent games in the city sandbox genre like Cyberpunk 2077. Goes to show you how much love and dedication goes into these games.

Even though my expectations really low, this is actually quite impressive. This is how I imagined the game. Regarding the changes in sound effects - there might be new sound effects, but also, Rockstar has a tendency to edit sound effects into trailers for dramatic effect. Listen to that siren effect in the same scene - they've used it in like three other trailers over the last several years.

For people still complaining 3,Vice City,San Andreas were always the "3D Universe" and from GTA 4-on was the "HD Universe". Obviously these games aren't going to have 4k ultra realistic graphics because that's just not how these games are supposed to be.

Its just speculation but I think they've also added different color variants for each pedestrian NPC aswell. Screenshots have shown some recognizable NPC's with alternate color outfits, kinda like the NPC'S in Vice City Stories. I played San Andreas so many times but never got to beat it. When I finally decided to beat the game I entered a cheat code a few days before that messes up a mission and you can go past it. I didn't feel like starting the game from the start again.

Now this is a good time to beat it. GTA 3 did have reflections of light sources on the ground during rain in the PS2 version.  They were done using sprites instead of any type of "realtime" reflection, but they looked good. I personally don't mind this new updated cartoonish look that the character models have. it gives it character kinda, along with keeping that classic feel that Rockstar intended. just cleaner & sharper textures. each video I watch about these games just makes me more & more excited
