Samsung's two new foldable smartphones: Great features

Technology/Gadgets News :  Samsung has launched two new foldable smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. Along with these two phones, two new smartwatches and earbuds have also become available.

Both these phones are upgraded versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 launched last year. The body of both the phones is of Samsung Armor Aluminum. Corning Gorilla Glass is supported by Victus. Compared to earlier models, the flexibility of these phones is 80 percent stronger. With the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Aspen has also been supported.

The price of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is $ 1,799.99 i.e. around Rs 1,33,600. The starting price of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is $ 999.99 i.e. around Rs 74,200.

The sale of both the phones will start from August 27 in many markets across the world. Customers who pre-order will get Samsung Care Plus for one year, which includes accidental damage, screen replacement, water damage and back cover replacement.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 gets Android 11 based One UI. Apart from this, it has a 7.6-inch QXGA + Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Fleece primary display with a resolution of 2208x1768 pixels. The refresh rate of the display is 120Hz. The second display is a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X and it also has a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The phone has a 5nm octa-core processor, clock speed is 2.84GHz. Although the company has not yet given any information about the name of the processor, but it is expected that it will have Snapdragon 888 processor. The phone will get up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. It has a triple rear camera setup in which the primary lens is 12 megapixels, whose aperture is f / 1.8 and this is also the wide angle lens.

With this there is support for optical image stabilization (OIS). The second lens is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and the third is a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. Apart from dual OIS and 2x optical zoom, there is support for HDR10+ recording. There is a 10 megapixel front camera for selfie, the field of view is 80 degrees. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 has an under display camera.

It has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Ultra Wideband (UWB) and USB Type-C port. The phone has a side mounted fingerprint sensor. There is also support for Aspen with this. It houses a 4400mAh dual cell battery with support for both wired and wireless charging.
