Oneplus Smartwatch Will Debut With Smartphone

Pre-booking of OnePlus smartwatch has started in China. This latest development comes just a few days before the OnePlus virtual event, where the OnePlus smartwatch will debut with smartphones from the OnePlus 9 series.

Along with pre-orders, a rendered image of the watch has also surfaced on social media to give a hint of the design of the smartwatch. OnePlus Watch is also expected to get support for IP68 certified build and warp charge fast charging technology.

China's online retailer JD.com has listed OnePlus Watch for pre-order in the country. Smartwatches can be booked for around 600 rupees. On booking, customers will get a discount of about Rs 1,100 on the purchase of the watch as a bonus. The price of the smartwatch is yet to come.

The listing on the JD.com site suggests that the OnePlus Watch will come with Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. Other specifications are yet to be revealed.

If we look at the previous report, the OnePlus Watch will come in 46mm dial size and will have black and silver color options. The smartwatch is also expected to get IP68 certified build along with heart rate and SpO2 sensor.

It can come with support for fitness-tracking features and may include a dedicated swimming mode. OnePlus Watch is also expected to have 4GB of onboard storage and warp charge technology. Reports are claiming that in 20 minutes of charging, it will provide up to a week of battery life.

It was previously expected that the OnePlus Watch will basically work on Google's Wear OS. However, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently revealed that it will come with a custom operating system to provide a better experience on Wear OS.
