According to the information, the Parmre zone headquarters in Jabalpur was established on 1 April 2003. There are about five to six thousand employees here. There has been a demand for opening of Kendriya Vidyalaya for a long time to provide good education to the children of these employees. West Central Railway Employees Union (WCREU) has been raising demand for opening of Central School in Jabalpur for the last several years. From 2018, it had included this demand in its PNM agenda as well.
There are many central schools in the city, but in it the children of railway staff do not get enough seats. The demand for opening of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jabalpur has also been raised by the railway family including the union. GM of Shamrendra Singh Rajput of Pamre allotted five acres of land at Howbagh for the Central School.
The district currently operates five Kendriya Vidyalayas. There is an uproar for entering these schools. In this Kendriya Vidyalaya to be opened on railway land, railway personnel will get sufficient quota. At the same time, the children of ordinary people will also be able to take admission on the remaining seats. The construction work is expected to start soon after the land is allotted.
