Smart lenses will tell your blood sugar level by reading tears.

Lifestyle : Connect lenses are usually used as a replacement for spectacles but now you can also take care of your health with the help of advanced technology. This lens will also check the blood sugar level with the help of tears. The lens has been developed by experts from Britain, America and China.

This is how the lens works - says Professor Yunlong Zhao, who is part of the team that developed the lens. The lens checks the blood sugar level in the tears. It then transfers its data wirelessly to the computer. It can be used to see the risk of diabetes and heart disease. A sensor and circuit are fitted between the two lenses. Fluid in the eye comes in contact with these sensors and receives new information through them.

According to researchers, if you want to zoom in on something, you have to blink your eyes once. The special thing about the lens is that it gives comfort to the users even though it involves many technologies.
