Google removed 450 loan apps from Play Store
The company said that, developers of the remaining such apps have been asked to tell as soon as possible how their app complies with local laws. If the developers did not do this then these apps would also be removed from the Play Store.
Google said in a post, "Our priority is to provide users with a secure experience. Our Global Product Policy is designed and implemented with this goal in mind."
Violations of the policy will leave the platform
Google has said that we have reviewed hundreds of personal loan apps identified by users and government agencies in India.
Apps that violate the user safety policy are immediately removed from the store. Google will assist government agencies in their investigation. The company also said that recently there were complaints about online lending platforms / mobile apps.
