Globally 800 million users use Facebook-Instagram every day....

Social media giant Facebook says there has been a significant increase in the use of messaging and live video globally with India on its platform. Users have taken advantage of these tools to stay connected to others during the epidemic.

At the Indian Mobile Congress 2020, India Director and Head of Partnership of Facebook Manish Chopra said that, people all over the world are following the social distancing practice. This has led to a rapid increase in digital engagement.

One-third share of video in content posts on Instagram:

Chopra said that people are using our apps the most. Globally, 50% growth has been recorded in messaging and 60% in live video. Video views have increased the most, especially on Instagram.

Video posts account for one-third of Creat's know-how content posts on Instagram in India. India is one of the largest markets for Facebook. Apart from this, the company also operates photo sharing platform Instagram and messaging app WhatsApp.

2.5 billion daily users of Facebook family globally:

All of the Facebook family apps are used by 2.5 billion people globally. There are 10 million active advertisers on these platforms. Chopra says that 800 million active users globally engage in live video streaming on Facebook and Instagram daily.

These users organize workout classes, concerts, faith services and other activities to stay connected with their audience.
