After tapping, a pop-up will appear, showing the QR code and 40 digits below. This is the security code. This is WhatsApp Identity, which can also be shared with others.

If you want to make sure that your WhatsApp chat is secure or not, then you can verify the code appearing in your phone with another user's code.

Two-step verification can provide more security to the account. If you have activated this feature, then whenever you open an account on any other device, it will ask for a 6-digit code, which only you will know.

In such a situation, even if a hacker can find the details of your number or WhatsApp account, he will not be able to use WhatsApp, because he will need a 6-digit code to use there.

To activate it, follow these steps ... Menu> Settings> Account> Two-step verification> Enable.

Active Fingerprint / Face-ID Security :

WhatsApp also provides biometric security. Users can protect WhatsApp with their fingerprints or Face-ID.

Android users follow these steps to activate it .. Settings> Accounts> Privacy> Fingerprint Unlock.

Similarly, Apple users can activate Face ID.
