Lucknow University has a special history, we are proud of it
Education : Lucknow University [lkouniv] celebrates 100 years of its founding. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, greeted Lucknow University on the occasion of the centenary year. Modi said that the time of a hundred years is not a figure. There is a living history of immense achievements. Here the country has seen many talents being made for the world. Students here reached many places.

The centenary commemorative coin was unveiled. Lucknow University will become the third such university after Mysore University and Banaras Hindu University to commemorate 100 years of commemorative coinage. Vice Chancellor Alok Kumar Rai said that it is not just a coin, but also an invaluable historical heritage and symbol of 100 years of superiority of the university. The coin is made at the Government Mint in Mumbai. It will be an asset in the university treasury. Silver, bronze, copper and nickel have been used in coin making.
According to Sudhir Lunavat, a well-known currencyist from Bikaner, it will be a non-circulating coin and will have 'Lucknow University Centenary Celebrations' written in English and Hindi as well as the University's 'Light and Learning' at the center from 1920-2020. Will be the logo.
Lucknow University was established in 1920. In this way, this year is being celebrated as the 100th year of the university. There are around 160 colleges affiliated to the university.
The program will also include Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, State Governor Anandiben Patel and State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the centenary celebrations of Lucknow University. During this, he also discussed about the implementation of the new National Education Policy in the state.
The literary festival was organized as a part of the Centenary celebrations of Lucknow University. Film actor Anupam Kher also played a virtual part in it. Guests from Spain received information about the history and modern development of the university. At the same time, the poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas attended the program held on Monday.
