59 Chinese apps have been banned in India under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the main reason behind this ban has been the privacy of users' data.
The statement issued in the meantime states that 'these apps have been banned keeping in mind the interests of India's sovereignty and integrity, the defense of India, the security of the state'.
