Through the AFCAT exam, candidates are selected for flying and ground duty in the Indian Air Force. For this examination, Air Force officers are selected for both technical and non-technical positions in the Airforce.
After the success of the examination, the candidates are called for a second round evaluation in which they test their personality and physical fitness as well as various skills.
In this the process of interview lasts for five days, and after that the names of the candidates are announced. The AFCAT exam is of two hours and 45 minutes, and 100 questions are asked from General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and Military Aptitude which are 300 numbers. 50 questions are asked in 45 minutes from the IKT pattern which is 150 numbers.
Girls can also become officers in the Indian Air Force through the AFCAT exam. Girls can become Air Force officers in any branch of flying and technical.
