Many of China's electronic device and smartphone manufacturing units have been shut down due to coronavirus. This is going to have a direct impact on the sales of smartphones launched in the first quarter of this year. According to the research agency IDC's report, China may see a 30 to 40 percent drop in smartphone sales in the first quarter due to coronavirus that has taken the form of an epidemic.


Antonio Wang, Associate Vice President of IDC China, said that because of this dangerous virus, a negative impact can be seen in the sale of the device in 2020, especially in the first quarter. However, it also has a positive aspect.


He further said, the laptop market was affected by SARS in 2003, 17 years ago. The most important thing that came out at that time also was that people had come to know about internet and information and portal internet enabled devices also became popular. This will not only affect the device market but will also have short-term and long-term positive factors.
