PAN refers to the Permanent Account Number. PAN number is comprised of 10-digit alphanumeric number issued by Income tax department to everyone who applies for PAN card.

PAN number is unique to every PAN card holder. It also serves as an identity proof. Once PAN card is issued, it remains valid for the entire life of the PAN card holder.



If your name is wrong on the PAN card, then improve it at home :

Many people may have applied for a PAN card. But the problem increases when the name or address is wrongly entered in the PAN card due to some reason.

People have to visit government offices to improve the card, which wastes their time. We are going to give you such information, through which you will be able to improve the card right from home.



To change the name in the card, first you need to keep a photocopy of documents with your real name. These documents include documents like Aadhaar card, passport and identity card.

To improve the PAN card, you must first visit the official site of NSDL.

• Now a page will open, in which you will have to go to Application Type and tap on the option of Change and Correction in Exiting PAN Card.
• You have to select INDIVIDUAL again.
• After doing this you will have to enter the correct information in the column given below.
• Fill the captcha code after filling the mobile number, date of birth, email ID. Then tap on the submit button.

After doing this, you will go to the new page, where you will see four options. Here you have to enter Aadhaar and PAN number.

Be careful while entering information so that wrong information is not recorded again.

Now you have to pay Rs 120 by submitting documents. After this you will get OTP, which will have to be submitted.

Now you will see an option to download a form, which you can save or print. After applying, the PAN card will reach your address given in 15 days.
